Terms of Use
Last updated: August 31, 2026
The service
pdfia provides free PDF tools that run in your web browser, plus a freeREST API and MCP server for programmatic use. By using the site or the API, you agree to these terms.
Your files and responsibility
You keep all rights to the documents you process with pdfia. You are responsible for the content of your files and for having the right to use and modify them. Because browser tools process files locally, you remain in possession of your documents at all times.
Always keep your original files. pdfia transforms copies in your browser, but you are responsible for verifying results before relying on them.
Acceptable use
Don't use pdfia to:
- violate any law or the rights of others;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or circumvent the service's security or rate limits;
- resell the API as-is or misrepresent pdfia as your own service.
The API is free within published fair-use limits (file size, files per request, and request rate). We may adjust limits, or block abusive traffic, to keep the service available for everyone.
No warranty
pdfia is provided "as is" and "as available", free of charge, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any tool will produce results suitable for your specific needs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, pdfia and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to use pdfia — which is zero.
Changes to the service or terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may also update these terms; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continuing to use pdfia after a change means you accept the updated terms.
